Shrewsbury Weekend Away – Update

Plans for this year’s weekend away are progressing well.

By Mid-August we will be sending out, by email and WhatsApp, the menu for the Saturday 19th September evening group meal. The venue for our meal is St. Vincent’s Wine Bar & Bistro. We will be asking you to send us your meal choices along with payment in full.

The full itinerary for the weekend will be sent to you by the end of August.

Do I need to do anything now?

• If you haven’t done so already, book your accommodation. There’s a wide range of accommodation available in Shrewsbury.
• Check if your accommodation has parking. If not, please consider downloading the Shrewsbury car parking APP, see details
• On Friday 18th September we are gathering at a pub called The Coleham Tap. You can join us anytime from 7 p.m. onwards. If you are planning to eat there, we strongly advise that you book a table. Please consider joining with others to book tables of 4 or more and mention that you are with the Out on Sunday walking group. The pub will try to seat us in the same area. 

You don’t have to book for 7 p.m. The pub serves food until 9 p.m.

The Coleham Tap is a popular, lively pub just over the river from the centre of Shrewsbury offering reasonably priced food and drink. It also has an outdoor seating area and is dog friendly. 

There are many pubs, restaurants and takeaways in Shrewsbury if you would prefer an alternative. You can always join us for a drink later.
