Description
A 5 mile walk with very varied scenery through Redisher Woods nature reserve over unimproved grassland to Moorbottom Road bridleway to Red Brook and Lark Hill
The walk involves a 2 mile gentle ascent to Lark Hill with one steeper section en route. It is on paths, fields and tracks which will inevitably be muddy so walking boots essential.
No refreshments except at the finish so bring a packed lunch.
The Hare and Hounds at the start/finish serves food all day. There is also Hoysters Wine Bar nearby.
Start Point and Time
Meet outside the Hare and Hounds at 12.30. There is on road parking in the area. Most is on the B6214 to Holcombe Village (left after the pub)

Holcombe Brook is on the A676 Bolton to Rawtenstall road 1 mile south west of Ramsbottom which can be accessed via Junct 1 off the M66
Alternatively from the centre of Bury (and briefly on the road to Bolton) take the B6214 signed to Holcombe Brook (about 3 miles) and Ramsbottom.
