Oldham Pride – 19th to 25th July Although they won’t have a procession or open-air stage this year – they are planning a variety of LGBTQI+ events open to all. These include :
Weds 21/7 – Riot Act (one man show on the stonewall riots) @ Coliseum (ticketed event).
Friday 23/7 – Cabaret at the Coliseum (Ticketed event) hosted by Terri Fox – with raffle.
Saturday 24/7 – All day entertainment and DJs at The George Tavern + ‘Shade’ open air dance performance (free) in Parliament Square & George Square.
Sunday 25/7 – picnic in the park + 6.30pm ecumenical Pride Service in Oldham Parish Church.

Silver Pride – Friday 30th July – Sunday 1st August with an 8pm Vigil Thunderclap.
Now in its second year, Silver Pride is a unique online event designed to forge connections between older LGBT+ people and encourage intergenerational communication in the gay communities. Over three days of summer, Silver Pride presents a smorgasbord of guests, sessions and events. There are interviews: Broadway and Hollywood star Alan Cumming is their “opening gala” guest; Their Big Saturday Interview is with actress Michelle Hardwick, currently appearing in Emmerdale; and actor and writer Simon Callow will be in conversation with theatre director Robert Hastie.
Through the range of content, they’ll be broadcasting over three days – from celebrity interviews to panel discussions, cookery demonstrations to specially made films – Silver Pride aspires to entertain and inspire, firing conversations about and generating noise around the lives of older LGBT+ folks. They want to uncover hidden histories and hear stories heretofore hushed. Silver Pride is a celebration of the everyday heroes that most people have to be in order to just to live their lives and a commemoration of those who went before us. Who marched and fought and campaigned and died for the freedoms we enjoy today. Silver Pride is a party and a paean.
Silver Pride is also a network of support groups whose work in creating community is made possible by the money raised by this special weekend. See attached Press Release:
