26 intrepid walkers travelled to Marple for a wonderful autumnal walk of some 4 miles taking in Marple Bridge, the Roman Lakes and a section of the Upper High Peak Canal. Patrick, our leader, shared a wealth of information about this once important industrial area. Most of the group retired to the Norfolk Arms for refreshments after the walk.
