Description

This is an easy to moderate walk of 5 miles around picturesque Anglezarke Reservoir near Chorley.   Leaving the car park we follow paths and tracks around the reservoir, at the North end we will join the road for a short while and follow a lane down the West side of the reservoir before crossing the dam at the South . We then walk up to Yarrow Reservoir for the final stage of the walk joining the road for a short walk back to the car park.  There are a few gentle inclines and three or four stiles along the way. The paths and tracks are good but VERY WET underfoot in places so boots advised – wellies would be suitable.  There will be a lunch break so please bring lunch if required – there are no toilets or shops along the walk. The autumn colours are beautiful right now and I hope the weather on sunday will be as good as Wednesday when I recced the walk!

Pub stop at the end at The Yew Tree just South of the reservoir – I haven’t checked it out but reviews on google seem generally favourable.
