Peter T led the group of 24 walkers on this somewhat different walk from Widnes crossing the Mersey and the Ship Canal via the Silver Jubilee Bridge and the Old Quay Swing Bridge onto Wigg Island where we had oour lunch stop. A great turnout for this excellent 7.5 mile walk an one of the hottest days of the year, some headed to the Mersey Pub on the riverbank for well deserved refreshment.
