Twenty one walkers assembled at the picturesque Cheshire village of Gawsworth for the start of this 6.7 mile walk. We strolled across fields and along a short length of country road until we joined the Macclesfield Canal for a two mile stretch. Refreshments were taken at Bosley Locks before the walkers made their return journey via North Rode back to Gawsworth. At the end of the walk most of the group retired to the charming Harrington Arms Inn for a well-deserved pint.
