Another good summer walk led by Patrick. Setting off from Greenfield, the walk followed the Huddersfield Narrow Canal as far as the Diggle portal of the Standedge Canal, the longest, highest and deepest canal tunnel in Great Britain. Crossing the stepping stones across the River Tame at Undermill, the walk ended at the Kingfisher pub. With an ice cream stop on the outward leg; a lunch stop on the return and a pub stop at the end it’s likely that more calories were consumed than expended!!
