Walk details : This is a fairly easy 4.2 mile (6.8km) walk through the attractive woodlands of Little Budworth Country Park. The second part of the walk is in open country through fields and along country lanes. Towards the end there are memorable views of the tower of Little Budworth church, St. Peter’s. There are no opportunities to buy food and drink on the route so please bring your own refreshments. We can visit the Red Lion Inn in Little Budworth at the end of the walk.

Risk assessment : A risk assessment was carried out on 18/03/2022. A summary of identified risks is below:-
Accessibility – There are four stiles on the route, one of which is in poor state of repair but still manageable with care.
Terrain – Generally the paths are very good but there is some uneven ground with some exposed tree roots. Strong walking shoes or boots are advisable.
Roads – We will need to cross a minor road near the beginning of the walk.
Livestock – There is some livestock on this walk and we will be crossing a paddock.
Covid – Please follow current government advice.
Start time and meeting point : Little Budworth Country Park car park, Coach Road, Little Budworth, Cheshire, CW6 9BN at 12:30. Parking – There is free parking which might be limited depending on how busy it is. Car sharing is advisable.
Directions to the start : From Manchester take the M56 towards Chester, leave at junction 10 and join the A49 which is the second exit off the roundabout. Stay on the A49 travelling south, you will eventually come to some lights at the junction with the A54. Go straight on here, and take the first left into Coach Rd, towards the end of Coach Rd is the car park where the walk starts.
