An easy 7 mile walk starting at Manchester Cathedral following the River Irwell from the city centre as far as Kersal Wetlands – site of the old Manchester Racecourse where we had our lunch break. We returned via Peel Park, Middlewood Locks crossing the new pedestrian footbridge from Salford to the Aviva Studios. Walk was finished off with a well deserved drink at the Ox on Liverpool Road.
