Description
This is a 4.5 mile walk around the outskirts of Marple. It is easy, mainly flat with varied terrain along well established paths and tracks. It begins in the centre of Marple then follows the Peak Forest canal. There will be a lunch stop at the ancient Chadkirk Chapel before a gentle climb in the direction of Rose Hill before returning to the starting point.
Paths may be muddy in places because of recent heavy rainfall.
There are no places to buy refreshments en route so bring what you need: including sun cream and water. There will be pub and teashop opportunities in Marple at the end. Dogs welcome on this walk.
