My first walk as leader!
Yesterday 34 souls and 5 dogs met at Nelsons Pit visitor centre on a rather drab, cold Sunday morning. The walk turned out to be a rather lovely, 7.5 mile flat walk along the picturesque Macclesfield canal and back via the disused railway line, The Middlewood Way. We were joined by two newbies, Alan W and David L…A warm welcome to you both and we all hope you join us on further walks. Many thanks to Stephen and Colin for guiding me through the intricacies of walk leading. For future reference, Nelsons Pit can be used as a starting point for various walks, including over to Lymme Park.
Really enjoyed leading the walk and hope to organise more in the future… Hopefully in twenty or thirty years or so, I will be as proficient as Stephen at leading walks…I do hope he will be around to witness my improvement……..Thanks again Stephen for all your valuable imput.
