Today’s 7 mile walk in the Peak District saw 20 walkers meeting at New Mills Central railway station before heading towards the Peak Forest Canal via the impressive Millennium Way.
After 3 miles we left the canal and headed down the Goyt Valley, crossing the River before starting our ascent of the far side. The fairly strenuous climb was rewarded by views across the Valley toward The Cage in Lyme Park.
Following a rocky path we made our descent to join the Riverside Park trail back to New Mills.
We welcomed Alan , Giles and Joe all on their first walk with Out on Sunday.
