Description

A lovely easy walk starting from Marbury Country Park, passing through beautiful woods alongside Budworth mere. Then reaching the Trent and Mersey canal, before breaking off to walk to Hyden pool to pay a visit to the bird hide.

We then continue until we reach the Anderton boat lift and Museum where we break for lunch. There is the café, or the Stanley Arms Pub across the bridge has facilities but bring your own sandwiches if you prefer.

We then continue alongside the canal towards Marbury Country Park and back to the car park where we started.

The round trip is approximately five and a half miles.

Walking boots are recommended if there has been recent rain.

Please join us for this popular walk.
