Patrick P took us on an easy 5 mile circular walk from Ramsbottom to the village of Irwell Vale, following the River Irwell and passing through the hamlet of Strongstry and Chatterton village.
Some people brought their dogs who loved the mud. The lunch stop was in the grounds of Irwell Vale Parish Church and the walk ended at the beer garden of the Railway Inn opposite Ramsbottom Station, a perfect end to the walk!
