Directions to Start
From Oldham, take the A669 (Lees Rd roundabout just past Mumps Metrolink Station). Follow this for a few miles until you reach the junction with the A670, Mossley Road at the Farrar Arms Pub. Continue straight onto the A669 for less than a mile, until you reach the sign for Greenfield. Take the sharp right turn and go down the hill, past the station, round the bend until you see the Kingfisher Pub almost immediately on your left, just before Tesco. Park (free) at the rear of the pub car park.
Alternatively, trains run from Manchester Piccadilly, platform 2 at 17 and 36 mins past the hour, 19 mins direct to Greenfield, then walk down the hill to the pub.
