This year’s Out on Sunday weekend away was held in the historic Shropshire Town of Shrewsbury.
The weekend began with a meet-up at the Coleham Tap for some excellent food and drink. A lively pub with great atmosphere ensured that the weekend go off to a great start.
Saturday saw 17 walkers set off from Church Stretton to tackle a 7 mile walk along the Long Mynd. A challenging climb to the top was rewarded with terrific view across a dramatic landscape.
As an alternative, Stephen organised a boat trip along an historic section of the River Severn taking in the sights of Shrewsbury.
Saturday night saw 26 walkers and guests sitting down for dinner at St. Vincent’s Bistrot.
For our final walk of the weekend, Michael led the group on a leisurely walk along the banks of the River Severn taking in some of Shrewsbury’s highlights.
